Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P handsets surface in new leaks

We're getting a glimpse of the smaller of two Google Nexus devices via a series of leaks showing the LG built Nexus 5X in a variety of colours. To be launched at an upcoming event in the US, Google is going for a two-pronged Nexus device launch. Expected to usher in the age of Android M (Marshmallow), we are going to see a 5.2-inch device (pictured above) called the Nexus 5X and a larger Huwaei-made 5.7-inch phablet called Nexus 6P (see below).

Google updates its Clock app with new alarm settings

Google just updated its stock Clock app with some new nifty features. Now, the volume for alarms and timers increase gradually. You can select your favorite timer ringtone as well as preemptively dismiss alarms within the Clock app. Google’s also letting you control timers right from a notification. Better Android Wear support is also coming. You can manage your timers and alarms and interact with alarm notifications much easier with your wearable device.

Facebook brings 360-degree videos to your News Feed

If you want to experiment with 360-degree videos or want to see what creators are doing with this tool, Facebook is bringing the experience to your News Feed. When you’re using the web version of the social network, you can drag the video around with your mouse. And when you’re on your Android device, you just need to drag with your finger or just turn your device. If you move your device around, the 360-degree video will follow you as you turn. Some of the exclusive videos demonstrating this new feature come from the likes of Star Wars, GoPro, and LeBron James & Uninterrupted. The feature isn’t available on iOS yet but will be arriving in the coming months.
