Pocket for iOS gets text-to-speech feature

I love Pocket’s text-to-speech feature on Android. It makes it especially easy to go through articles I’ve saved on the app while doing chores or while commuting. It took what seems like forever but now iOS users can take advantage of this feature as well. The “Listen” feature makes it easier for you to skip between paragraphs, adjust reading speed to suit your preference, and has automatic language detection (which is also said to support “all languages”. You can access the feature through the three-dotted button. The iOS app also gets the usual bug fixes and performance improvements.

Hello Cortana, meet Android

Cortana, whcih is one of Windows Phone 8.1's most impressive features, and subsequently a huge feature of Windows 10, has leaked early on Android. Available as a user-installable .apk file, from http://suomimobiili.fi Cortana can be installed on most Android devices and Cortana will hapily check the weather, sports scores or run various other searches. The 'Hey Cortana," command is not yet available in this build but will likely be made available when Microsoft is ready to submit an updated version.

Sony Computer Entertainment America new PS4 Games for PlayStation Store’s annual PLAY Summer event

Sony Computer Entertainment America announced the lineup of games for PlayStationStore PLAY 2015, its annual summer program featuring brand new game launches and special offers.

PLAY returns July 14 when this year’s lineup – Journey, N++, GALAK-Z and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture – becomes available for pre-order on PlayStationStore. PlayStationPlus members who pre-order PLAY 2015 titles will receive a 20 percent discount.

Panasonic outs new Lumix cameras

Panasonic Canada brings in two of its newest cameras into the market—the DMC-GX8 and DMC-FZ300. Both cameras come equipped with the new Venus Engine designed to improve colour reproduction, luminosity, and saturation.

The GX8 is the new flagship Digital Single Lens Mirrorless Camera for the G-Series line. It sports a 20.3-megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor, dual image stabilization, and 4K photo and video recording. ISO sensitivity goes up to 25600.
