Video calling comes to Facebook Messenger

Facebook just announced that video calling is now available in Messenger making it possible for users to have face-to-face conversations with theirr friends and family via Messenger. 

Accounting for more than 10% of all mobile VoIP calls globally, Messenger already offers people the ability to make voice calls to friends and loved ones around the world. Video calling will expand Messenger’s real-time communication features, enabling the 600 million+ people who use Messenger every month to reach friends from anywhere in the world – quickly, reliably, and with high quality. 

Video calling in Messenger is available for calls made from a mobile phone to another mobile phone (iOS and Android).

The Idol 3 is designed to be able to run in reversible mode. This means that thanks to the dual speakers and mics you can pick it up any way you want and the display and even the front-facing camera will adjust to fit whichever way you are holding the phone.

I’ve been using the new Alcatel Onetouch Idol 3 and I am impressed. It is one of the thinnest and lightest 5.5-inch phablet category smartphones I’ve used and it runs Android Lollipop like a champ.

While Alcatel’s been known for cheap, practical smartphones, they’ve outdone themselves with the Idol 3, which offers many flagship features in a sleek and impressive package. Something is definitely brewing at Second Cup Coffee Co. The Canadian coffee shop has just announced the national launch of their free loyalty "Rewards" program within a mobile app. The program allows coffee lovers to earn points for every dollar spent at Second Cup.

To join Rewards, customers can download the free Second Cup Coffee Co. Rewards app from the App store or Google Play, or pick up a card at the cafe. Members an also use the app on their Apple Watch (one of the first Canadian companies to debut an app for the new device).
