TomTom enters the action camera market with Bandit for $499

TomTom's entry into the connected action camera market is the TomTom Bandit. The TomTom Bandit is the first ever camera to come with a built-in media server, eliminating the need to download footage before editing it.  The camera works with a companion app, making it possible to create and share videos in a matter of minutes, simply by shaking a smartphone.

“We know that the biggest frustration people have with action cameras today is the time and effort it takes to edit,” says Jocelyn Vigreux, President of TomTom, Inc. “With TomTom Bandit we’ve cut the editing time down from hours to minutes - all it takes is a shake!”

Livescribe adds Android support

If you’re an Android user and have been waiting for Livescribe support, it’s finally coming your way. There’s now a Livescribe+ Preview Edition app on Android. It’ll work on devices running KitKat or higher. To use your Livescribe 3 or Livescribe 3 Pro, you’ll also need to install Livescribe Link Preview Edition for Bluetooth pairing purposes. UltraTuner uses your Apple Watch to tune your guitar

If you want to bring your guitar tuning skills into the digital age, IK Multimedia will help you with that with their UltraTuner app for iOS. The app will show note information onto your Apple Watch while you tune your axe. If you want full visibility, the app comes with a Stage mode. In this mode, you’ll see a chromatic tuner on your smartwatch. The company boasts that the app is 10 times more accurate than mechanical strobe options (down to +/- 100^th of a cent).

Google Now on Android adds new app cards

Google continues to bring more features to Google Now. There are new app cards available on the service. This time around, users can view a recommended playlist card from Spotify. There are also TuneIn and YouTube playlist recommendations. Breaking news from ABC News, Circa, and Feedly. There are also cards for Eat24, Runkeeper, Jawbone, Adidas, OpenTable, and All Recipes.
