Twitter brings ‘While you were away’ feature to Android

A month after Twitter introduced its new “While you were away” feature to iOS, Android users are finally going to get a taste of it. Whether you like it or not, the new recap feature is on Google’s mobile platform and you can’t turn it off.

“While you were away” shows the “top” tweets you’ve missed since the last time you were on the social network. These tweets are chosen based on tweet engagement and user habits (much like what Facebook does with its News Feed). However, Twitter emphasizes that they’re still focusing on real-time updates and if you’re frequently on the app you won’t see the feature as often.

Sony accidentally outs info and photo of Xperia Z4 Tablet ahead of MWC

There are intentional and unintentional leaks. Sony made an unintentional preview of its upcoming tablet through their Xperia Lounge application. They have since pulled the announcement through the app but people have already caught a glimpse of the upcoming device. Based on the listing, the Xperia Z4 Tablet have a 2K display, ultra-fast performance, industry-leading battery life, and a lightweight design. A date seen on the listing mentioned March 3, which is happening in the middle of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We just have to wait a bit more to see the new tablet officially.

Cannibal! The musical is as funny as you think it is

Last week I had the chance to catch the premier of Toronto's newest slapstick show, Cannibal! The Musical. Truth be told, if I learned anything from his previous gem, The Book of Mormon, South Park creator Trey Parker has a knack for creating outlandish work.

Directed by Chris Bond (think Evil Dead the musical) and running until March 8th at the Panasonic Theater at Yonge and Bloor, the show tells the hilarious, and (mostly) true story of Alferd Packer, the only person ever convicted of cannibalism in America. It's off-colour and absolutely amazing, especially for those watching with an open-minded sense of humour. I mean a very open mind; my wife wasn't as into the show as I was, solely based on the language and humor.

One more thing: the musical introduced me to a new word that I can't seem to shake: Shpasoinkle. Its meaning? Who knows. It's funny and memorable; that's all that matters.
