VLC rolls out three big mobile platforms

Whether you are on iOS, Android, or Windows Phone, VLC media player is making its way to you. The official Android app has been around for a while already and is now out of beta.

This time the iOS version is making a comeback and is said to be up on the App Store again. But it is rolling out by region so just wait a bit if you can’t see it yet. As for Windows Phone, the app is currently available for open beta. If you want a piece of the action, head over to their site to be part of the beta.

It's been 10 years since the first Kijiji ad was posted in Canada

On February 2005, an ad posting searching for community volunteers in Quebec was what started it all for Kijiji in Canada.  10 years later, Kijiji has become a destination to buy and sell as well as an online community. Owned by eBay, Kijiji has since exploded and now offers  6,027,227 classifieds. 

The free service has seen Canadians connecting with neighbours in more than 100 cities and towns across the country about everything from finding the perfect deal on a tablet to selling a coveted iPhone. Kijiji Canada celebrates its 10 anniversary tommorow.

Google is working on a second generation Chromebook Pixel

In tune with its Android for Work initiative, it looks like Google is working on releasing the next generation Chromebook Pixel. For those that don't know, the first Chromebook Pixel was released two years ago to showcase Chrome OS in a premium notebook.

Latest Modern Family episode takes place entirely on a MacBook Air

The latest episode of the popular sitcom Modern Family titled Connection Lost, takes place entirely on Claire Dunphy's (Julie Bowen) MacBook Air display as she's waiting in an airport.

It has all the zany elements of a typical episode, but is filmed entirely on iPhones and iPads and uses various Apple applications like FaceTime, Messages, Safari, Reminders, iTunes and even iPhoto to help push the story along.
