Google introduces screen reader function to Docs, Sheets, and Slides apps on mobile

Using Google’s productivity apps on mobile pose a bit of a challenge, to be honest. Google is hoping to remedy that with its latest updates for iOS and Android. Now, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides support Android TalkBack and iOS VoiceOver, screen readers that are meant to help visually impaired read words on the app. Documents now also have real-time spell check, spreadsheets can hide rows and columns, and presentations can lump similar shapes together. If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, you can use fingerprint unlock to keep your private files away from nosy colleagues. The update should be up on both iTunes and Play Store.

Moto 360 makes appearance in Google Play Store Canada

Joining countries in Europe (France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK), Canada will be getting the Motorola Moto 360 through Google’s Play Store real soon. It has shown up to be available in the aforementioned countries based on the support page. The tech giant may have updated the page before it is actually out though because it is still listed as coming soon. At least we get the heads up that it is arriving soon. So, if you’ve been waiting for Google to stock this baby (if you haven’t gotten it through Motorola yet). Your wait is almost over.

Twitter brings Recap feature to Canada

We earlier reported that Twitter is bringing a “while you’re away” feature to its apps. Now, the recap feature is available in Canada for iOS users. It will show you a summary of sorts of top tweets users made while you’re away. If you only occasionally check Twitter, you will see the recap more often. It is meant to help users catch up with what’s going on in the service. The feature will also be making its way to Android as well as the web version soon.

Xbox One and Windows 10 integration extends functionality of consoles to PCs

One of the cooler announcements in today's Windows 10 launch event was the news that Windows 10 will have an Xbox App available on Windows 10 devices. What this enables is streaming Xbox One games to WIndows 10 PCs and tablets. They demoed this on stage with Forza Horizon running on an Xbox One but streaming without any latency to a Surface Pro 3 tablet. Using an XBox controller, you can play your game using a PC with no latency and with remote access to all your Xbox controls. This is made possible by DirectX 12 enhancing graphics performance on existing hardware devices.
