Las Vegas - BlackBerry just redesigned the BlackBerry Passport specifically for AT&T users in the coming year. The makeover is pretty cosmetic and makes the AT&T model less square, more rounded at the corners and with styling that is reminiscent of the BlackBerry Classic.

Video: Demo of the dual-display YotaPhone 2 at CES 2015

YotaPhone 2 is a new Android smartphone that has a 1080p HD display in the front and an eInk display in the back. It is ideal for reading eBooks or for usage of apps in a low-powered, black and white setting. The front and the back are made of Gorilla Glass 3 which makes it durable. No word on Canadian availability yet but it would be great to see this device come our market.

CES 2015: Samsung unveils business card-sized 1TB SSD

Making storage faster, more compact, and reliable, Samsung introduced the new Portable SSD T1, a one terabyte SSD that is no bigger than a business card. It is powered by 3D V-NAND technology and can read and write data with speeds up to four times faster than traditional hard disks. It promises that you can transfer 3GB movie file in around eight seconds. Other features include advanced hardware encryption, password software, shock resistance, and dynamic thermal guard.

CES 2015: Pioneer brings Android Auto to NEX series

Pioneer wants to be one of the first to bring Android Auto to users. With the second-generation NEX series in-dash multimedia receivers, they have done just that. The AVIC-8100NEX, AVIC-7100NEX, and AVH-4100NEX all have Android Auto integrated. They are compatible with Android Lollipop devices. The AVIC-8100NEX is the top-of-the-line device at US$1,400 and features a capacitive touchscreen. The AVIC-7100NEX costs $1,200 and has a resistive touch display. Lastly, the AVH-4100NEX is without Pioneer’s on-board navigation software and retails for $700. You can interact with the panel via the 7-inch touchscreen or through Google’s voice command system.

These three new NEX models also still support Apple CarPlay, AppRadio mode, Mirrorlink, and Bluetooth connectivity. The AVIC models even have Here Maps integrated. The new receivers are said to hit the market in March 2015.
