‘iWatch’ tipped to get its own app store

The rumour mill keeps turning and they seem to be convinced that Apple will be unveiling its new “iWatch” wearable at its upcoming September 9th event. A new report has surfaced stating the iWatch will have its own App Store and will be able to run third-party applications. According to 9to5mac.com, reports say that a handful of high-profile social network and services have been seeded pre-release version of the iWatch SDK, with Facebook being one of them. Of course, we have to take everything with a grain of salt still but until September 9 comes and goes, we’re pretty sure people will keep talking about this heavily rumoured wearable.

Leaked photos of BlackBerry Classic surface

Aside from the BlackBerry Passport, only one other device will reportedly come out of BlackBerry’s stable. The Classic, which will reportedly come out in October, is meant to appease BB users who didn’t like that the trackpad and key belt were taken out of the Q10. Photos of the rumoured device have surfaced on Weibo (China’s version of Twitter). True to its name, it does look like a “classic” BlackBerry device. It will reportedly sport a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 3.5-inch display. What do you think? Will you be waiting for this handset’s release? We aren’t sure if it will be debuted alongside the Passport or if BlackBerry will hold a separate event for it.

Each iPhone launch event is soaked in hype and a tremendous amount of interest, even from non-tech circles but this year is different. The upcoming event at Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino (where the iconic Macintosh and the iMac were first revealed) will be the setting for what many are expecting to be Apple’s largest launch event in the Tim Cook era.
