Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2: What to expect from the next-gen tracker

Samsung is reportedly working on a new version of its smart tracker, the Galaxy SmartTag 2, which could offer significant improvements over the previous model. The device, which helps users locate lost items using Bluetooth and ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, has recently appeared for its Bluetooth SIG certification, hinting at an imminent launch.

According to MySmartPrice, the Galaxy SmartTag 2 has the model number EI-T5600 and will support Bluetooth 5.3, a newer and more efficient version of the wireless standard than the Bluetooth 5.1 used by the original SmartTag. This could mean that the SmartTag 2 will have better battery life, connection quality, and security features.

Nothing is revamping its unique Glyph interface for the upcoming Phone 2 smartphone. The phone is set to debut on July 11. In his latest Power On newsletter, he claims that Apple will release a USB-C case for AirPods Pro along with the iPhone 15 lineup, which is also rumoured to ditch the Lightning port for USB-C.

This would align with a report from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in March, who said that a second-generation AirPods Pro with a USB-C charging case would arrive later this year. However, Kuo was unsure if there would be any other hardware changes for AirPods Pro in 2023, and Gurman seems to agree.
