Report claims Yahoo! plans to lure YouTube stars to its own video service

Yahoo! is reportedly working on a new video site geared towards having more established stars and networks use the service than the more open-to-all approach of YouTube. And to do so, it would seem they are trying to lure away YouTube’s big stars with more money, including better ad revenue, boosted marketing, and guaranteed ad rates. Recode claims Yahoo! is planning to get the ball rolling on this project in the coming months.

Google Maps parody Google Naps tells you the best places to snooze

Google Naps, a parody version of Google Maps, seeks to help you find the best places to catch a quick shuteye around the world. A group of Dutch users wanted to provide users with the “world’s coziest and coolest places to take a well-deserved nap.” The napping spots are shared by fellow users and include areas in US, China, Indonesia, and Brazil, to name a few. It’s meant to be a funny take on Google’s Maps application and probably just a reminder that naps are a good thing every now and then (no matter where you are).

Facebook Messenger introduces groups and message forwarding to iOS

Facebook has released a new update for its iOS app that allows you to group contacts and send messages to them en masse. The update is perfect for organizing meetups or even just spamming your favorite people. Users can now also forward messages and photos to other people who aren’t included in your conversation. Of course, you can expect the usual stability fixes and speed improvements.
