Review: iPad mini with Retina Display

Apple's iPad mini with Retina Display is finally here and it looks like it was worth the wait. While it maintains the same shape and generally the same dimensions as last year's mini, it now matches the power, performance and resolution of the iPad Air but in a smaller and even more portable from factor.

While many expected to see an iPad mini with Retina Display this year, few expected Apple to go all out and offer the same A7 processor with M7 co-processor featured in the iPad Air in the iPad mini. In fact, much of the performance and the best features of the iPad mini with Retina are very similar to the review I did of the iPad Air, so that's worth checking out as well.

Apple reportedly purchases PrimeSense, Microsoft Kinect technology maker 

9to5mac cites Israeli Calcalist.co.il to report that Apple bought PrimeSense for about $345 million. PrimeSense is behind the original Kinect technology before Microsoft replace it with in-house tech for 3D body movement and mapping. Senior executives from PrimeSense were seen visiting Apple’s offices recently. The acquisition is seen to boost Apple’s living room TV offerings by building on the company’s 3D tech for gesture control.

HTC send One GPe KitKat code to Google, release to arrive soon

Here’s some good news for HTC One Google Play edition. The American unit of the information technology company confirmed it has sent Android 4.4. KitKat code to Google so expect to see the update to arrive to your One GPe phone soon.

Google revamps Google Now site
