Facebook updates app for BlackBerry 10

Facebook refreshes it BlackBerry app with a new look, enhanced photo and page admin functions, and new Facebook Chat options. Facebook version 10.2.1 for BlackBerry 10 now shows when your Facebook Messages have been sent and read and you can see which of your friends are online. You can set your Profile and Cover Photos right from the Camera app or within a Facebook photo album. Quick scrolling through your Newsfeed is possible and the Page Admin section also has a new look and feel.

Nexus 7 (2013) Canadian pricing and Play Store availability confirmed

The ASUS-made Google Nexus 7 Android will be available to Canadians through the Google Play online marketplace starting August 13, and has started to appear in-store at Staples, Best Buy and Future Shop.

Pricing and availability will be 16GB Wi-Fi – SRP $229.00 and 32GB WiFi - SRP $269. No mention of the 4G-LTE or HSPA+ enabled model which is coming soon to the US.

Rogers launches "Next Box 3.0" today

A year after launching their "Next Box" cable offering, Rogers is officially cutting the red-ribbon today on the latest iteration of Next Box, version 3.0. Redesigned with a sleeker, rounder look, 3.0 is being billed as the most "compelling and robus cable offering on the market". The box comes packed with 8 tuners, double the capacity (240 hours of recorded TV) of 2.0, supports Rogers "AnyPlace home" which allows for streaming TV on your phone or tablet over their LTE network.
