Everyone knows that Google bought Motorola for the patents, or did they? The much awaited Moto X superphone has long been rumoured and various leaks have revealed little. The past few weeks have seen some movement at the Google owned Motorola division. A new Google-ish logo appeared a week ago and more recently, a print ad for the Moto X smartphone. The text heavy ad, which shows no image (although the Moto X prototyle has been widely leaked -see above) there are a number of hints towards a different approach of phone-making.

The Lumia 1020 which is AKA as the Nokia EOS is the expected smartphone with a 41 Megapixel senor that's being launched next week in New York City. While earlier press invitations and blog posts from Nokia have alluded to a revolutionary smartphone camera an actual image from Twitter's favourite smartphone tipster @Evleaks shows what seems to be the AT&T version of the Nokia EOS complete with a new Nokia Pro Cam Live Tile. Nothing has been confirmed but as far as we know, this could be very probable. As for Canadians, Rogers is Nokia's preferred partner for high-end Lumias, at least that was how it has been with the Lumia 820 and Lumia 920, so if this impressive smartphone does come to Canada, we expect it to be under the banner of the big red machine.
Will this be the ultimate smartphone camera? Can this possibly disrupt both smartphones as well as digital cameras in general? All will be revelaed on July 11th!
