This year we started our CES 2012 planning by visiting our favourite big box, electronics and mobile stores to see which of the products that made a big splash at last year's CES actually suceeded in the market. Working backwards from the aisles of tablets, countless smartphones and various devices that have hit the market.

HP seems to be focusing on refining its all-in-one line and we like what we see. The new HP Omni27 PC is the company’s first 27-inch all-in-one PC and the first non-touch HP PC to feature HP’s exclusive Magic Canvas software for a truly engaging experience. The HP Omni27 All-in-One PCs are expected to be available on February 19th in Canada at a starting price of $1,399.99.

In terms of versatility as a photo or video recording device, notrhing can come close to the iPhone specially when it comes to thrid party products that enhance the device's functionality. We've heard of iPhone cases that allow lenses to be added but the folks at Kogeto have gone beyond that and introduced a way to shoot 360' video on the iPhone 4 or 4S which is unlike anything we've seen before.

Aden Camera is selling the Panasonic Lumix GF2 with the 14-42MM lens for $289.99 which is a stunning savings of $210.00. The GF2 offers 12 megapixel sensor, 1080p HD video recording, a stereo microphone as well as touch controls. It is a relatively small yet capable metal body which has many of the features of the highly touted GF1 except it has a smaller battery. This is a great deal for a Micro Four Thirds kit.
