Samsung's expected to release One UI 5.0 for Galaxy S21 FE soon

Most of Samsung's recent flagships have already gotten the stable version of the Android 13-based One UI 5.0. Now, we're expecting the update to make its way to the Galaxy S21 FE. It wasn't part of the beta test, but we're expecting to see it soon. 

Traces of One UI 5.0 for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was spotted on Samsung's servers, suggesting the update should come next month. We haven't gotten confirmation yet of this news. But we hope to have updates soon. Samsung promised at least four major updates for its flagship devices, so this would mark the first for the S21 FE.

'Sonic Prime' to debut on Netflix on Dec. 15

Netflix has a multiverse Sonic series. And it's debuting on the platform on December 15. The streaming service also shared details about Sonic Prime's story. "It's the Sonic you know and love until an incredible twist thrusts Sonic into a new adventure featuring a reinvented cast and Sonic like you've never seen him before, where the fate of the multiverse rests in his gloved hands," according to the Sonic Prime synopsis. 

The series debuts around a month after Sega's Breath of the Wild-like Sonic game comes out (a.k.a. Sonic Frontiers). It's also not the last Sonic material to expect. There's an Idris Elba starred Knuckles series coming to Paramount Plus and a third Sonic the Hedgehog film in the works.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro rumoured to get solid-state volume buttons

One of the latest rumours about the next iPhones has to do with its volume and power buttons. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims Apple will switch out physical buttons for solid-state power and volume buttons. These will function similarly to the Touch ID sensor on the iPhone 7 or the iPhone SE (2022). It uses two additional Taptic Engines on the left and right sides of the frame. Solid-state buttons mean these won't physically sink into the device when pressed. Instead, you get haptic feedback to confirm presses. 

These new buttons will be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max, and Ultra models (depending on what will be launched). The standard iPhones will retain the physical buttons.

Apple recently launched a new website to help security researchers have a better way to report issues to the company. The Apple Security Research site offers tools for sending security reports, communicating with Apple engineers, and getting real-time status updates. This site is also where you can get information on the Apple Security Bounty program.
