Mastercard, Pier Five partner for small business fund

As part of its new Secret Sauce campaign, Mastercard partners with Pier Five, a platform that uncovers creative entrepreneurs and helps tell their stories, to offer five women-owned small businesses across the country a chance to receive $10,000 in funding. All five business owners will also be invited to a "Priceless Experience" that brings women from across Canada together for a once-in-a-lifetime community-building event. It's an opportunity to connect and learn from peers and Mastercard executives to help develop their businesses. You can apply until the end of the month through this link.

The Secret Sauce campaign aims to elevate the visibility of women small business owners in the culinary space and help them through support, funding, and resources they need to grow their businesses.

Bumble brings 'Ted Lasso' dating app to life

If you were wondering if Bantr would be a good fit to try out, you'd get to find that out soon. The chat dating app on the hit Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso is coming to Bumble. It's going to be a new feature called Bantr Live, where you get three minutes to chat with another Bantr Live player without seeing a photo of them (similar to the premise of Bantr on the show).

When your three minutes are up, you'll be asked if you want to match. You'll then see a small image of the other person. After you click yes or no, you'll be asked if you want to chat with someone new. The feature will be live every Thursday at 7pm starting on October 13 until December 31. The chat sessions will last until 8pm. So, you can use up the entire time to talk to different people. At the end of the session or when you choose to exit Bantr Live, you'll see if you made matches. The matches you've made (those that clicked yes) will show up on your regular Bumble Date queue.

Jony Ive is a producer of an Apple TV+ animated film

Jony Ive is adding film production to his resume as he's seen credited on an upcoming Apple TV+ animated film. He's credited alongside Woody Harrelson for the upcoming animated film, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse. It's based on a book of the same name and will debut on the streaming service this Christmas. Unless there's another Jony Ive in Hollywood, we're fairly certain it's that Ive.

The famed designer was responsible for everything from the look of the iPhone to iOS 7. He left the company in 2019 to start his design firm LoveFrom. Apple was a client, and he was credited on the new iMac design. But there wasn't a definitive public collaboration between the two, and that arrangement recently ended.
