Twitter rolls out 'unmention' feature to all users

Source: Twitter

You can now get more control over who tags you in future tweets. Twitter has announced it's started rolling out its "unmention" feature to all devices. Unmention allows you to untag yourself from a tweet. It'll unlink your handle from a tweet and prevent your username from being tagged in future replies.

The feature is designed to stop "unwanted attention" on the platform from overtaking your experience. Twitter wants to eliminate some of the toxic behaviours exhibited on its platform.

There is still a social aspect integrated into this, though. Your Oculus profile will be replaced by a Meta Horizon profile that you'll set up. It comes with a username, photo and avatar.
