WhatsApp starts rolling out emoji reactions, 2GB file transfers, increased group chat capacities

Source: WhatsApp

After testing out the feature last month, WhatsApp has started rolling out emoji reactions to users globally. There are six emoji reactions available: Thumbs Up ๐Ÿ‘, Red Heart โค๏ธ, Face with Tears of Joy ๐Ÿ˜‚, Face with Open Mouth ๐Ÿ˜ฎ, Crying Face ๐Ÿ˜ข, and Folded Hands ๐Ÿ™. You can also send files up to 2GB instead of the 100MB limitation before. WhatsApp seems to be thinking about video file transfers, saying it "will be helpful for collaboration among small businesses and school groups." Group chat capacity has also doubled up to 512 people if you're interested in that. The features are rolling out over the next week on iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows.

Microsoft tests new Windows 11 controller shortcut to access recently launched games

There might be a more straightforward way to launch recently-played games on your Windows 11 systems soon. Microsoft is experimenting with a new "controller bar" feature that allows you to access up to three recently-played games by pressing the central Xbox button on a controller. This method means you don't have to use a mouse or keyboard to boot up a game you've been playing. That will come in handy for those who connect their PCs to TVs.

Microsoft said the controller bar feature is currently in testing for Windows Insiders on its Dev and Beta channels. You can check out how to enable the feature here.

Lenovo Yoga AIO 7 gets a rotating screen you can connect to your phone

Source: Lenovo

Lenovo has a new Yoga AIO with a unique 27-inch 4K display with a screen you can rotate to 90 degrees. This all-in-one PC can become a large display for smartphones, as long as they support DLNA, AirPlay, Miracast, or LElink. The Lenovo Yoga AIO 7 has a starting price of $2,599.99.

If you're a creator who does a lot of vertical videos, this form factor might be interesting to you. I would want to watch TikToks on this large screen. The Yoga AIO 7 runs on AMD's Ryzen 6000 processors with optional AMD Radeon RX 6600M graphics. Similar to last year's model, you can plug your laptop into this device via USB-C so you can control both devices with the same peripherals.
