LinkedIn shuts down Stories after last year's launch

LinkedIn realized its users didn't want an ephemeral video feature on its platform. The company has announced that it will remove its existing Stories experience by the end of the month. The company admitted that its users didn't want these videos on their profiles.

Amazon tipped to release live audio option focused on music

Amazon might be the next company to offer a live audio solution, at least according to recent reports. But the focus will be on the music, like concerts and other events. Amazon is reportedly looking at podcasts and talk radio extensions, but Amazon Music will take charge of this initiative. According to Axios  sources, Amazon is looking to build live audio into Twitch, but it isn't know how or when this might arrive.

It won't be surprising for the company to jump into this space. As Engadget  pointed out, Amazon recently integrated Twitch streams into the Music app. And the company acquired podcast subscription service business Wondery last year.

Fossil introduces Gen 6 smartwatches

 

Fossil has unveiled its new Gen 6 smartwatches. These new wearables are running on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 4100+ platform with the current generation of Wear OS. As we know, Fossil plans to roll out the update at a later date. This new chipset promises 85% improved performance over Wear 3100 with enhanced battery efficiency. It's expected to last up to 24 hours before needing a charge.

This new series comes with connectivity options, including Bluetooth 5 LE, Wi-Fi, and NFC SE. There isn't any LTE option. These smartwatches come with Google Pay and Google Assistant onboard. Even without LTE, you can take calls on this watch with its built-in mic and speaker.

'Lego Star Wars Battles' is coming to Apple Arcade

Real-time strategy game Lego Star Wars Battles is coming soon to Apple Arcade. Developer TT Games hasn't announced when it will launch the game on the platform, but Apple Insider pointed out that titles on the service tend to launch within a month of being added to the pre-order list. So, we might see it soon. You can already click on "Get" for the game to let it automatically download when it launches.
