Report claims 'Horizon Forbidden West' will be delayed to 2022

Sony's Horizon Forbidden West is initially scheduled for a 2021 holiday release. But a new report from Bloomberg claims Sony will push the game's release back to 2022. Engadget pointed out that PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst hinted at the game being delayed. "For Horizon, we think we are on track to release this holiday season," Hulst said at the time. "But that isn't quite certain yet, and we're working as hard as we can to confirm that to you as soon as we can."

Right now, we can't say if the game will be available by the end of the year or not. We'll make sure to update you if there's any news.

Google to disable sign-ins into Google apps on very old Android devices

If you collect really old Android phones (those running on Android 2.3.7 and older), you won't be able to access Google apps, like Gmail, YouTube, Google Search, etc. The company plans to disable sign-ins for these devices. This move covers Android 1.0, 1.1 (unnamed), 1.5 Cupcake, 1.6 Donut, 2.0 Eclair, 2.2 Froyo, and 2.3 Gingerbread. It will affect the system- and application-level sign-ins, but you can still sign in if you use the Android Browser. That Android Browser wasn't Chrome yet.

Google is disabling access from these old devices to "help protect your account's security," according to an email it's sending out to owners of these phones. This change will happen on September 27. It's worth noting that these devices stopped receiving operating system updates and security patches a long time ago. The same goes for Google Play services.

Spotify's 'Noteable Releases' playlist showcases new trackers from popular producers, songwriters

Spotify's newest playlist wants to highlight the notable producers and songwriters behind the biggest songs out there. Playfully named the "Noteable Releases," the curated playlist features songs from leading names in the music industry. This week's cover is frequent Billie Eilish collaborator/brother Finneas O'Connell, who has helped her craft her songs. The playlist doesn't just stick to pop songs, but it's obviously heavily represented in the playlist.

This new feature follows last year's release of songwriter playlists and pages. If you're curious about who makes your favourite music, the app continues to let you dig deeper. As Engadget noted, you can see who worked on a song by simply tapping on the three dots icon and select Show credits.
