The Infinix Concept Phone 2021 intros 160W fast charging, colour-changing design

Here's another China-owned smartphone maker that's looking to break records with its technology. Infinix shows off what it has in the pipeline with the Infinix Concept Phone 2021. It features a bespoke 160W system that can charge its 4,000mAh battery from 0% to 100% in just 10 minutes. Another unique feature of this concept device is the colour-changing technology integrated into the rear panel.

Infinix combines Ultra Flash Charge (UFC) technology, the Innovative Super Charge Pump, 60 security protection mechanisms, and an 8C battery cell to make the extremely fast-charging tech possible.

Netflix will allow Android users to watch partially downloaded content

Sometimes, you couldn't fully download episodes and films on Netflix, leaving you without anything to watch when you can't access the internet. That's why Netflix has this new feature. The company will let Android users start watching shows and movies they've partially downloaded while connected to the internet. And once they're back online, Netflix will prompt the user to download the rest of the title. It's currently rolling out for Android users, but Netflix plans to start testing it for iOS users in the coming months.

Samsung shows off One UI Watch for Wear OS

As it does with its smartphones, Samsung will be putting a skin on top of the new Wear OS platform that it is co-developing with Google. This new One UI Watch for Wear OS aims to "make the Galaxy Watch and smartphone experience more deeply connected" and to create "an entirely new Galaxy Watch experience."

Some of the things we can expect from the One UI Watch experience include auto-install of compatible apps from your phone to the watch, different clocks for various cities will be ported to your wrist, and numbers you block on your Galaxy Watch will be blocked on your phone.

Qualcomm debuts Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset with better CPU, AI performance

At this year's MWC, Qualcomm has just upgraded its best processor with an even better one. The Snapdragon 888 Plus gets a better clock speed, bumping up the Kryo 680 CPU from 2.84GHz to 2.995GHz. Its sixth-gen AI engine also gets upgraded from being able to perform 26 trillion operations per second (TOPS) for AI tasks on the Snapdragon 888 to around 20% more power on the 888 Plus at 32 TOPS. According to Qualcomm, we should be seeing the first phones sporting this new chip in Q3 2021.
