CES 2017: Hisense making moves to be a major player in high-end TVs

Las Vegas Hisense, in case you didn't know, is one of the largest television brands in the world. Rogers getting ready to broadcast first 4K hockey game on January 23rd

4K content is coming to Canada this Saturday thanks to Rogers, which will be pioneering the technology via a Hockey Night in Canada telecast produced by Sportsnet and available to Rogers customers using the NextBox 4K on Channel 999.

The game is on Saturday, January 23 at 7 p.m. (EST), and will see longtime rivals the Toronto Maple Leafs face off against the Montreal Canadiens, live at the Air Canada Centre. Of course, to enjoy the game in all its glory, viewers will need to have subscribed to the Rogers NextBox service as well as have a compatible 4K TV.

Next Apple TV will reportedly not yet support 4K video streaming 

If you're waiting for Apple to add 4K support to its TV streaming box, then you might be in for a disappointment. According to a BuzzFeed report, Apple doesn't have plans yet to add 4K video streaming into the features available on the Apple TV. One of their sources familiar with Apple's way of thinking said that 4K is still in its infancy that's why they don't want to invest in it yet. BuzzFeed speculates that Apple might be holding back because the technology is cost-prohibitive as well.
