Samsung Canada puts NFC in the service of free music

Near Field Communication (NFC) technology has long been heralded as the key ingredient for the mobile wallet. A feature that would magically enable smartphones to be used as a mode of payment, access and transaction. That's taken a while to happen, specially in Canada. Samsung Canada has decided to put NFC to good use by enabling the download of free music in Toronto’s underground walkway.

Samsung launches premium Windows 8 compatible Ultrabooks

Samsung Canada revealed a series of Windows 8 enabled premium Ultrabooks under the Series 9 and Series 5 line. They also revealed their ATIV Smart PC 11.6-inch tablets which can work as Ultrabooks with optional keyboards. Also launched for the holiday buying season was a new 23-inch all-in-one PC with multi-touch capabilities as well as gesture control. Microsoft reveals more Windows Phone 8 features at launch
