Amazon tipped to release live audio option focused on music

Amazon might be the next company to offer a live audio solution, at least according to recent reports. But the focus will be on the music, like concerts and other events. Amazon is reportedly looking at podcasts and talk radio extensions, but Amazon Music will take charge of this initiative. According to Axios  sources, Amazon is looking to build live audio into Twitch, but it isn't know how or when this might arrive.

It won't be surprising for the company to jump into this space. As Engadget  pointed out, Amazon recently integrated Twitch streams into the Music app. And the company acquired podcast subscription service business Wondery last year.

Amazon wants to monitor your sleep with radar, too

Google Nest Hub (Source: Google)

Google's latest Nest Hub can track your sleep with the help of radar. It looks like Amazon wants in on this tech. The company received an FCC waiver that allows it to use 60GHz radar for sleep tracking. The company isn't shy about drawing comparisons to Google, citing the Pixel 4's radar as an example when asking for the waiver.

As Engadget noted, the tech can be used for gesture navigation, which can be helpful for people with speech or mobility impairments that prevents them from using conventional commands.

Amazon hasn't specified much about what products will use radar tracking. But it described the devices as "non-mobile," suggesting they could be placed permanently on, say, your nightstand like its Echo devices. We're going to watch for any updates from the company on this front.

Amazon's Eero 6 routers get Apple HomeKit support

Amazon has released a new firmware update for its Eero 6 routers that adds support for Apple's HomeKit. Older Eero routers support the smart home platform, so it isn't surprising that this latest line gets them, too. What this feature brings is the ability to firewall each of your HomeKit devices. When you do so, this ensures your smart home devices, like this router, will only communicate with devices in the same WiFi network, and it only connects to the manufacturer's servers for software updates. It's extra security for your smart home devices.
