Google Assistant finally makes its way to Android tablets and more phones

Google is slowly rolling out Google Assistant to more and more users. For those who have Android tablets running on Nougat or Marshmallow in the US, Assistant is coming to your device if you have the language set to English. Now, the update for Android phones is more important in a way that it reaches more users. Those with Android devices that still run on Lollipop in Canada, US, UK, India, and Singapore with the language set to English will get the feature. If you’re in the US, Mexico, or Spain and have the language set to Spanish, then you get access to the feature, too. Those in Italy, Germany, Korea, Japan, and Brazil also get the update. Once the Google Play Services update comes your way and you opt-in to use Assistant, the Assistant app icon will show up in your “All apps” list.

Review: ZTE AXON

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

ZTE’s Axon isn’t just a beast in budget sheep’s clothing, it is one of the truly delightful smartphones to come to market in Canada this year. The directive was simple, ‘build an affordable smartphone with flagship features,” and ZTE has delivered on this promise.

Best thing about the ZTE Axon is that it is its own device. There’s no trace of trying to be trendy or copping designs or even materials from more familiar and popular models. With the Axon, ZTE reminds me of when smartphone makers didn’t play it safe and really designed and built fun, powerful and innovative devices for the love of it. Could ZTE be the new Nokia?

HTC can't meet self-imposed deadline for Lollipop update

HTC was the first OEM to set a deadline for their Android update to Lollipop for the One M7 and M8. But it looks like they won't be able to meet their 90-day deadline. And they are placing the blame on Google.

According to HTC's Vice President of Product Management Mo Versi, Google had to address issues with the software release and they are trying to implement Google's fixes into the update but it won't be available for some of the carrier versions of the two devices. Versi added they will try to keep as close to the deadline as they can but he won't say when that may be.
