LG goes full-metal with new Urbane smartwatch

LG’s Android Wear smartwatch line just got classier with the new LG Watch Urbane. The smartwatch will be making its debut at Mobile World Congress 2015. It still has the same 1.3-inch full circle P-OLED display of the G Watch R but this time it has a narrower bezel and sleeker, full metal design. It brings the classic looks of a timepiece with technology from Google. The Urbane will be available in polished silver and gold and will be complemented by a stitched natural leather strap.

The Urbane also runs on 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, and 410mAh battery. It is also dust and water resistant (IP67 rating). No word yet on the price or availability. We should find out more about this at MWC.

Wunderlist lets you view your lists on Android Wear smartwatch

Making it easier for you to check your grocery list when you’re out shopping, Wunderlist will let you view selected lists right from your wrist. The app has been supporting Android Wear since July but that only let you view reminders as well as add new tasks through voice commands. Now, you can view lists as well. But you can only view one list at a time. You can select this through the settings menu in the smartphone app.

CES 2015: Audi and LG show-off smart watch collaboration

One of the highlighted keynotes today was from car maker Audi. During their hour long session they announced in-car partnerships with Android Wear manufacturers LG, Samsung and NVIDIA. Exciting, yes, but it wasn't the subtle Easter egg that caught a sharp journalists eye. No, something else had people talking -- the watch Ulrich Hackenberg had on during the presentation. Bearing a striking resemblence to the in-market LG G Watch R, the yet-to-be-named watch looked strikingly more refined with a stainless steel bezel and leather strap.

The Verge reached out to LG for comment, to which they confirmed that the watch was made specifically for Audi and runs a customized version of Android Wear.

Want.
