Musi.sh lets you use Apple Music on the web

If you’re an Apple Music user, you’re probably heavily reliant on your phone to play music or have been forced to use iTunes when you’re on a computer. Now, if you wanted a web option, unfortunately that didn’t exist until now. Musi.sh is a new project that brings Apple music onto your web browser—for free. The site mostly echoes Apple Music design language and functionality, so there’s no learning curve here. This open-source project began with Apple Music-loving developers Filip Grebowski, Brychan Bennett-Odlum Raphael Vigee, and James Jarvis, who all wanted a way to use the service without draining their phones’ batteries. The team used Apple’s MusicKit and made the prototype at a 12-hour GitHub-sponsored hackathon. The team won with the project.

Right now, what’s missing is the Radio feature, because MusicKit currently doesn’t support radio stations through Apple Music. If you want to give it a try though, you can through this link. If you want to contribute to the project, you can through its GitHub page.

Apple Music features behind-the-scenes video on how Rami Malek transformed into Queen's Freddie Mercury

Apple Music today released the very first exclusive “extra” feature from the runaway hit biopic Bohemian Rhapsody — the fan favorite that swept the globe and is now the Golden Globe winner for Best Motion Picture (Drama).
Malek’s flawless portrayal of Freddie Mercury also earned him the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama). The featurettetitled "Rami Malek:  Becoming Freddie” is a fascinating 16-minute clip that gives fans a deeper understanding of Malek’s commitment to authenticity when portraying one of the greatest rock-n-rollers of all time. Watch it now, only on Apple Music at apple.co/BecomingFreddie.

Amazon Echo speakers finally get Apple Music support

We reported at the end of last month that Apple Music support was hitting Amazon Echo speakers. The feature arrives earlier than it was scheduled to come (which was December 17). And now users can head to the Alexa app on iOS or Android to add Apple Music to the list of supported music streaming services. Once you’ve linked your Apple Music account to Alexa, you can even set it as your default streaming service. Apple Music subscribers can then ask Alexa to play songs from their personal playlists, their entire library, or any of the service’s curated playlists or radio stations. Again, we need to emphasize that the feature is currently only available to Echo speakers and not third-party, Alexa-enabled speakers.

Drake tops Apple's 'Best of 2018' charts. Who else made the list?

Apple just released the 'Best of 2018' -- a global collection of top charts of all the amazing things we should see, play, and listen to. From podcasts to audiobooks and from music to apps and more we're definitely curious as to who made the lists and what will make great conversations at the holiday dinner party. Apps that topped the 'paid for' list shocked us included FaceTune, a retouching app to allows users to have flawless skin. Hey, guess it's cheaper than botox. Anyway, here's are the lists...
