Here's what a game will look like on Apple Watch

We're seeing some screens of Apple Watch apps start to surface. NimbleBit's word game LetterPad is a puzzle type game where players have to create words related to a given clue. We've also learned that many games like the one above will run from connected iPhones and simply be projected to the Apple Watch, which should conserve the wearable's battery life. Smart watches haven't really bene seen as casual gaming devices but Apple Watch and WatchKit could change this. Let's see what happens.

CES 2015: First Apple Watch accessory is the Bandstand Dock

The Apple Watch wont be making an appearance at CES 2015 but you can bet that its presence will be deeply felt as the industry as a whole reacts to Apple's next big product.

The Bandstand Dock from Standzout has been announced and includes integrated charging using Apple’s inductive charger, as well as additional ports to allow the user to simultaneously charge two other USB devices, including the iPad. It also features a pivoting watch platform, to adjust the angle of the watch for visibility from any angle. I'll definitely have to look this product up in the coming week as I make my way through CES.

Apple opens Apple Watch app development starting today

The iOS 8.2 SDK beta including WatchKit is available immediately for iOS Developer Program members at developer.apple.com/watchkit. The WatchKit site includes programming guides, human interface guidelines, templates and more. Starting later next year, developers will be able to create fully native apps for Apple Watch.
