Audible Indigenous Writers' Circle returns for the fourth year

The highly successful mentorship and workshop program returns for the fourth year. The Audible Indigenous Writers' Circle initiative was created to help emerging Indigenous writers looking for ways to elevate and develop their stories. 

In the past three years, over 85 Indigenous writers have been supported by the program. Results included one published book, over 8 confirmed signed deals, and representation secured for writers such as book agents.

Air Canada partners with Audible in flight

Air Canada today became the first airline to offer Canadian Audible Original Audiobooks and Podcasts and more in its in-flight entertainment (IFE) system, further expanding its product offering to travellers. Through premium and dynamic audio storytelling, Audible provides Air Canada’s customers immersive, relaxing entertainment during their travel journey onboard all while 30,000 feet up in the air.

You can now listen to Audible on Waze

Waze is making it easier for you to catch up on your audiobooks as the navigation app welcomes Audible into its Audio Player Program. This means you get easy access to Audible's vast array of Audible Originals, audiobooks, podcasts, and other audio programs through Waze. Of course, you'll need to be an Audible member to use the feature.

To access the feature, open the Waze app and then tap on the music note icon. From there, select Audible as your audio player. If you're within the Audible app, you will also receive next turn directions from Waze. This integration has already begun rolling out.

Audible and Ryerson University announce new initiative in program and facilities

Audible, Inc., the world’s largest seller and producer of audiobooks and other spoken-word entertainment, and FCAD, Ryerson University’s Faculty of Communication and Design, today announced the establishment of a multifaceted initiative dedicated to audio entertainment at FCAD’s renowned school of performance. Audible’s investment will provide Ryerson students in the performance acting program with state-of-the-art performance training facility, companion sound studio and an annual scholarship fund.
