Nintendo Switch is a new home gaming system coming in March 2017

Nintendo provided the first glimpse of its new home gaming system and revealed that it is called Nintendo Switch. In addition to providing single and multiplayer thrills at home, the Nintendo Switch system also enables gamers to play the same title wherever, whenever and with whomever they choose. The mobility of a handheld is now added to the power of a home gaming system to enable unprecedented new video game play styles.

It is great to see Nintendo innovating a new space in gaming. With a console that's at home connected to an HDTV and also capable of morphing into a powerful mobile gaming device for travelling and even interactive on-the-go gaming, it is touching upon areas that neither Sony nor Microsoft really have any answers for right now plus it is something different from casual mobile gaming found on smartphones and tablets.

Review: JBL SoundBoost Speaker Moto Mod

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

There's no shortage of affordable and multifunctional Bluetooth speakers that can overcome the weakness of most laptops, smartphones and tablets which is tiny, tinny and bad sounding speakers. Lenovo's Moto Z line of smartphones come with decent built-in speakers but they aren't stereo speakers like the ones that came with the Moto X Pure edition.

The JBL SoundBoost Speaker aims to make up for this. This Moto Mod, snaps magnetically on the the back of the Moto Z and Moto Z Play where it automatically routes any audio. This works so seamlessly that when you're listening to music on your phone and you pop in the JBL SoundBoost Speaker, it suddenly comes to life on the SoundBoost Speaker.

The Apple Beat: Apple staging October 27 hardware launch event in Cupertino

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Apple has one more thing to do before the year is over and that is introduce some new Mac hardware. Invitations to an October 27 launch event have gone out to media outlets with an Apple logo and the words 'hello again' right below which is a clear indicator of Mac hardware (Apple historically used 'hello' with the original Macintosh marketing material and the original iMac reprised this with 'hello (again).

What's expected at this event? Apple's fallen behind on updating various non-iOS product lines, so take your pick. Personally, I see new MacBook Pros, new MacBook Airs, possible new iMacs and Mac minis all running Intel's latest Kaby Lake processors.

Review: Google Pixel XL

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Exploding Note7’s have left a crater-sized void in the market and users looking for options can definitely consider a Pixel XL. It’s large, has the killer camera and specs combo, and it’s a Pure Google device. That’s great for consumers with $899 burning a hole in their pocket, but what about the rest of us?

Ambitious, bold, and aiming for the big guns in the smartphone flagship market, Google’s Pixel XL and its smaller brother, the Google Pixel, aim to give consumers the Google phone that they have always wanted but which the earlier Nexus devices may have failed to deliver.

Pixel represents a brand new chapter for Google as an end-to-end creator of consumer products. The Pixel extends the Made by Google ethos, which is to deliver high-quality devices that serve as the best containers for Google’s technology. This idea has been percolating with the expensive and premium Chromebook Pixel, the similarly costly and ambitious Pixel C 2-in-1, and now is encapsulated in the Pixel family of phones as well as in Google’s Home and Wi-Fi focused devices.
