Google's Pixel XL adoption is faster than Nexus 6P

Google's new Pixel XL smartphone's adoption has outpaced last year's Nexus 6P flagship. This is likely due to the fact that Google has really put some marketing muscle behind its new phones plus the Pixel and the Pixel XL have been extremely well reviewed by the technology press as the best Android devices in the market right now.

Still in short supply, the Pixel XL took a week to reach a market share comparable to the Nexus 6P two weeks after launch.

The smaller Pixel is showing some amazing growth too. A week after launch day, its numbers were 274% up. Similarly, the Pixel XL more than doubled its launch day numbers after a week of sales (up 158%).

Review: ASUS ZenBook 3

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

What we have here is an outlier, a sub portable notebook designed for optimal portability and long battery life but which can also handle some top-level performance thanks to the fact that it has the latest processors and bumped up specs.

ASUS ZenBook 3 is the company’s answer two Apple notebooks. It has the 12-inch form-factor of the ultra-portable Retina MacBook, but boasts processor and specs that can go head-to-head with even the latest MacBook Pro. Here are my impressions of the remarkable new ASUS ZenBook 3.

In case you haven’t noticed, ultra-thin, ultra light notebooks are a definite thing. Apple defined the space with the MacBook Air, Intel’s OEMs followed suit with the Ultrabook class of devices. Apple went insanely portable with the 12-inch Retina MacBook, a true wonder of engineering mired by a low-performance (although fanless and power efficient mobile processor), a single USB-Type C port and innovations like the butterfly keyboard mechanism and solid-state trackpad. Hit jump for the full review.

Google set to open first pop-up stores inside Best Buy locations in Canada

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Google has released a lot of new hardware, including the impressive Pixel smartphone with the new Assistant software, Google Home, Google Wi-Fi, Daydream View VR headset as well as a bevy of Chromecast devices plus Chromebooks which have become the darling of the educational market.

The best way to get these products into the hands of customers is to properly demonstrate them in a retail store environment. While Google isn't opening its own stores (yet), it's made some moves to have a retail presence to show off all this neat stuff. They had a pop-up store in NYC and coming this month, they will invite Canadian customers to sample first-hand the new products and services that they just launched.
