Apple WWDC 2016 reveals macOS Sierra, watchOS 3, iOS 10 in software-focused event

Apple focused on macOS, iOS, watchOS and tvOS the four pillars of its software platform for 2016's World Wide Developer's Conference. The 27th yearly developer event was held at the Bill Graham Auditorium in San Francisco kicked off with Apple CEO Tim Cook condemning the terrorist attack in Orlando and then segueing to the business at hand. WWDC has 5000 total attendees from 74 countries.

Cook didn't run down the numbers or talk about sales, device adoption which are staples of his keynotes. Instead he gave up the stage to various Apple Executives to introduce the new features. Hit jump for a hot take on what was revealed.

Video: Here's how Moto Z's Moto Mods work

San Francisco- The ultra-sleek Moto Z is only half the story for Lenovo, the Moto Mods accessories range from different coloured backplates to rechargeable batteries, a pico projector, JBL speakers and even charging attachment to expand functionality.

More importantly, Lenovo is releasing an SDK for developers and partners to create motomods. Currently on board are Incipio, Tumi, Vivienne Tam, Kate Spade and others who will create dynamic add ons for the Moto Z when it ships in the fall.

Lenovo Tech World promises innovation and emerging technologies

Not only are we expected to see the latest devices and technologies from Lenovo, we are also expecting to see a plethora of announcements around Moto, Project Tango as well as AI and VR technologies.

HTC Vive now shipping, new demo locations announced

HTC's Vive VR can now be purchased through www.vive.com in 24 countries, shipping within 2-3 business days of purchase. In addition to online availability from HTC, individuals can now buy the Vive virtual reality system in 51 Microsoft Stores,  40 GameStop outlets and 10 Micro Center locations. Pre-orders placed through these retailers will be fulfilled beginning this week. 

Vive will also be demoed in 100 retail locations throughout North America. In addition to current retail demo locations, Microsoft Stores will expand from 29 to 51 locations, GameStop will increase demo locations from 10 to 40, and Micro Center will add 5 more locations for a total of 10. The demonstrations are open to the general public to experience room-scale virtual reality first-hand with the variety of content available on Steam¢ē.  The full list of participating locations is available at www.vive.com.
