First look at the Dell Venue 8 Pro's wireless keyboard and case

Text and photos by Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

The Dell Venue 8 Pro is an impressive Windows 8 tablet that's got portability and power thanks to a great design and Intel's Atom processor. The wireless keyboard accessory, which comes with a case, just started shipping. We purchased it early December for $99 before Dell offered buyers a $15 discount.

The keyboard itself is thin, light and connects magnetically to the case's cover for easy packing up and storage. The keys are smaller  than what we're used to although the build quality is better than most third-party keyboards we've tested for other tablets.  This should be good for productivity focused users who want the full QWERTY-keyboard input option. We unboxed this just minutes ago so we need time to work with it. Stay tuned for a full review.
