Rogers expands LTE network to four new markets today

Rogers has announced that they have launched their LTE Max network to a number of new markets including

  • ·         Muskoka, Ont.
  • ·         Sault Ste. Marie, Ont
  • ·         Brooks, Cochrane and Canmore, Alta.
  • ·         Sydney, N.S.
  • ·         we’re also expanding our coverage in the Moncton, N.B., area.

The LTE network has also expanded to cover Saint-Georges, Que. and Bathurst, N.B. 

Rogers LTE Max is a premium network made up of dual frequency 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz bands that enables the fastest speeds in Canada for a premium wireless internet experience .Rogers has the largest nationally deployed LTE Max network that gives our customers access to the fastest wireless speeds in Canada. As well, our premium LTE Max devices, like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One are optimized on their LTE Max Network.

TELUS to buy Mobilicity for $380 million, adds 250,000 susbcribers

Looks like the inevitable has happened. Mobilicity is being bought by TELUS for $380 million and as a result 250,000 existing Mobilicity subscribers will be absorbed into TELUS which already owns Koodo, a budget brand that competes with Mobilicity.

Apple celebrates 50 Billion App downloads

Apple today announced that customers have downloaded over 50 billion apps* from the revolutionary App Store. Customers are downloading more than 800 apps per second at a rate of over two billion apps per month on the App Store. The 50 billionth app was Say the Same Thing by Space Inch, LLC, which was downloaded by Brandon Ashmore from Mentor, Ohio who received a $10,000 App Store Gift Card to commemorate this historic milestone.
