Galaxy Nexus from Google will be landing in Canada on December 8 at Virgin Mobile and Bell. Both those companies have sign up pages on their websites. Canada gets the goods ahead of the US which still has to announce a release date for the Galaxy Nexus. Check out our first impressions of the device.

The Kobo Vox, an Android powered colored eReader with huge tablet aspirations, was officially launched elast night. The device is the first colored offering from Toronto-based Kobo (which recently got acquired for a cool $315 million by Japanese web retailer Rakuten) is geared to compete against the Kindle Fire and the Barnes & Noble Nook Colour which are similar eReader Android tablet hybrid devices.

It was Panasonic who took a big risk and started the ILC (Interchangeable Lens Camera) segment in 2008 with the DMC-G1 Micro Four Thirds camera and the surge in competition from Olympus, Nikon, Samsung, Sony and Pentax has proven their gamble right. People want compact cameras with advanced features and interchangeable lenses. But how compact is too compact?
