Google's Assistant in Allo now has French support

The Google Assistant in Google Allo now has French support.

Google Allo is the smart messaging app for Android and iOS that helps user say more and do more right in their chats. Users can get help from the Assistant without ever leaving the conversation. Sharing sports scores, recipes, or travel plans in French is now easy to do right in your chats with friends.

To start using the Assistant in Canadian French, just say “Talk to me in Canadian French” when you’re chatting with your Assistant in Google Allo. You can also adjust the language setting for your Assistant on your device. So whether you’re looking into weather forecasts for your trip to The Laurentians or for directions to the Olympic Stadium, add @google to your chat and your Assistant is ready to help.

Blade Runnner 2049 trailer gives us a peek at an intense and authentic sequel

The original Blade Runner is my favourite science fiction movie. Like many, I felt that it was perfect and that the story was told and was complete (and left viewers debating if Deckard was also a replicant). The idea of a sequel, once more built around and ageing Harrison Ford felt like a money grab and just another way for movie studios profit from an old property.

The first teaser of Blade Runner 2049, with Ryan Gosling playing the lead, didn't set off any sparks for me, but the trailer which was just released today is very, very intriguing.

As a trailer, this really sets the mood for the movie, which arrives October 6, and gives us a glimpse of the characters and the familiar environments that made the original film such a beloved movie. From executive producer Ridley Scott and director Denis Villeneuve, #BladeRunner2049 stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana De Armas, MacKenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, Lennie James, Carla Juri, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto.
