Disney+ shows release dates for missing MCU movies

With yesterday's launch of the Disney+ streaming service, a handful of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies have not been made available yet. Some of these are still available on rival service Netflix. But at least now we know when to expect most of them. The app's title pages for the following films display the release dates: Thor: Ragnarok will be available on December 5, 2019, Avengers: Infinity War will be available on June 25, 2020, and Ant-Man and the Wasp will be available on July 29, 2020. What we don't have information on right now are the releases of The Incredible HulkSpider-Man: Homecoming, and Spider-Man: Far From Home.

'The Mandalorian' release schedule on Disney+ gets leaked

There are two things we knew about Disney's upcoming streaming service: it'll be launching on November 12, and the media giant wants to bring its online content back to a weekly release schedule. A new report from fan site What's On Disney Plus got their hands on the release schedule for the upcoming Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. The story follows a lone Mandalorian gunfighter/bounty hunter played by Pedro Pascal.

The first episode is expected to drop during the service's launch day, November 12, while episode 2 is scheduled to arrive on November 15. Afterwards, the remaining six episodes will be released on a weekly installment: November 22, November 29, December 6, December 13, December 18, and December 27. Disney has yet to respond to this leaked schedule.

Deborah Chow will direct Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi show

Ewan McGregor will reprise his iconic role as Obi-Wan Kenobi (Lucasfilm)

While the Obi-Wan show on Disney+ still doesn't have an official name or release date, we know now who will be directing the series. Lucasfilm announced that Deborah Chow would be its director. Chow is no stranger to the Star Wars universe. She directed a couple of The Mandalorian episodes, which is another Disney+ show but one that's in post-production with a second season already in the pipeline. Chow has also done episodes for Marvel's Jessica Jones and Iron Fist as well as Amazon Prime's The Man in the High Castle
