Review: Apple iPad Pro 9.7-inch

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

iPad Pro is truly evolving into a platform. While the iPad mini and older iPad Air devices will continue to offer all the great content consumption features and still be the best tablets on the planet, the iPad Pro line can focus on more serious and mission critical applications.

Apple’s iPad Pro 9.7-inch offers the biggest evolution in the tablet space by bringing many of the key features of the larger iPad Pro (12.9) into a more familiar size as well as a lower price point.

Apple’s always positioned the iPad as a Post PC device and the heir apparent to personal computing. Larger than the iPhone, yet smaller than a MacBook, the iPad’s evolved thanks to a supportive ecosystem of applications and accessories as well as Apple’s quest to consistently make it thinner, lighter and more powerful. With the iPad Pro, Apple’s actually managed to make their tablet’s performance match that of a PC’s and even surpass some PCs in terms of display quality, 4K video capture and editing right on the device.

Google brings Cardboard SDK to iOS

As the rumours have suggested, Google is bringing its Cardboard SDK to iOS developers. This means, developers of iPhone apps can create apps that will work with Google's virtual reality viewer. The Google Cardboard is a low-cost viewer that lets you slot in your smartphone into the front of the viewer to bring both virtual and augmented reality experiences to you via apps.

Aside from launching the SDK for iOS, Google's also introduced VR view, a feature to let developers include immersive content within apps and websites. It can turn images and videos into 360-degree VR images and videos that can be viewed on the desktop or with a phone attached to a Cardboard viewer. Both the SDK and the tools needed to create VR views are available starting today.

Apple had plans to expand the capabilities of Apple Music with third-party apps. We’re now seeing that with the latest update of Shazam. The music discovery app now lets you easily add songs to your Apple Music library and into any of your preexisting playlists. A new My Shazam Tracks playlist will also be available in the Apple Music app, when you Shazam songs, which is much like what you can do with Spotify. You can also listen to full tracks you Shazam without leaving the Shazam app as these are streamed directly from Apple Music.

Review: RHA S500i Noise Isolation headphones for iOS

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

I've been a fan of RHA headphones since I made the RHA MA40i headphones my main in-hear headphones for a good part of a year. RHA's new s500i headphones brings premium quality and materials as well as noise isolation technology to the market.

I have used the RHA S500i for over a month, it was my iPhone 6S' main companion during a 10-day trip to Europe and has been my go-to headset for playing back music and videos on various devices.
