Toronto, ON - LinuxCon and ContainerCon opened earlier today in downtown Toronto and the conference was kicked off by notable keynotes from various luminaries in the Open Source community as well as key players in the industry.

Toronto, Canada is going to host LinuxCon and ContainerCon which are annual conventions focusing on Linux, Open Source software and with the addition of ContainerCon, cloud infrastructure solutions for enterprise and business applications. Taking place at the Toronto Westin Harbour hotel from August 22 - 24, the event brings a number of notable speakers including Canadian author and activist Cory Doctorow, Jim Whitehurst of Red Hat, Brian Behlendorf of Hyperedger Project, Brandon Phillips of CoreOS and Chris Meson and the presence of Linux founder Linus Torvalds.
