Exploring the world of Halo Infinite 

As parents of teens, we know that gaming is one of the most popular pastimes. In our home, we instilled a "no play until homework is done" policy when the kids were very young. Luckily, that has stuck. As a gamer myself, I know how quickly time can pass once you get emerged into the play. That goes for any game. Even to this day I play about a half an hour of games on my devices right at bedtime. Somehow, I manage to sleep very well. I know, I know, it's not suppose to work like that. But maybe it's the type of games you play?  It's a way to wind down the day and clear my mind, maybe?

Xbox Series X is designed for backwards compatibility and inclusion

Microsoft's next generation console, the Xbox Series X will usher in a new era of console gaming that pushes the envelope in performance and graphics. It will also inherit a large library of games from previous consoles thanks to built-in bakcwards compatibility and an openness to retrofitting older titles. Jason Ronald, Partner Director of Program Management for the Xbox Platform Team, published an Xbox Wire post that details the Xbox team’s journey to make Xbox Series X the most compatible console ever, which required significant innovation in the design of the custom processor and Xbox operating system.

"Thousands of developers from across the globe are currently creating the next generation of transformative games, many of which can only be realized through the power and innovation of the Xbox Series X. Led by Halo Infinite, our 15 Xbox Game Studios teams are hard at work creating the biggest and best line up of exclusives in Xbox history. We are incredibly excited to show many of the new games in development for Xbox Series X soon," Ronald said in the post.

Microsoft's Surface revenue surges by 39 per cent in the quarter

Microsoft which recently became the most valuable company reported  $32 billion in revenues and a net income of $8.4 billion for the quarter. While Microsoft's continued success rides on it's extensive cloud services offerings, the company's Surface division is proving to be an impressive earner for the Redmond giant.

Surface revenues grew by 39 per cent in the quarter, proving that Microsoft was right to continue refining and expanding its hardware portfolio. The recent release of the Surface Pro 6 as well as the lower-priced Surface Go, there really is a Surface device for every type of user in both enterprise and consumer markets. There's also indication that Microsoft's Surface team is working on new products, possibly even the long rumoured 'Andromeda' foldable. It will be interesting to see what's next from Microsoft not just in terms of services and productivity but also in terms of hardware.
