On top of adding support for Nintendo's classic controllers, Valve is testing out a way to support Joy-Cons. It's part of the newest Steam beta, where Joy-Cons can be supported either individually or as a matched pair like you would with Switch games. You can opt into the Steam beta to try it out. These are the instructions you can follow on Steam's website.

Do you want to get your hands on the Neon Green Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons? The only way to get them is through Best Buy Canada. It’s available for pre-order at $99.99 through the retailer and will be released on October 27th and delivered on October 29th. It must be noted that it’s the same price as the controllers’ regular price in the country. And the Splatoon 2-inspired Neon Green and Neon Pink Joy-Con bundle is available through other Canadian retailers. But if you want to get your hand on a pair of Neon Green Joy-Cons, then Best Buy is the only way to get your hands on them.
