Classic White PS3's coming to North America bundled with a year of PlayStation Plus

Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) today announced that a new color (Classic White) for the PlayStation®3 (PS3™) computer entertainment system, bundled with a year-long membership to PlayStation®Plus, will become available for the first time in the United States and Canada on January 27, 2012 via the Classic White PS3 Instant Game Collection Bundle ($299.99 MSRP).

PlayStation banks on 3D and motion control for the holidays

We just came from the PlayStation Holiday Preview event held in downtown Toronto. Sony showcased some of the upcoming titles and technology that will be getting gamers excited this holiday season. Standouts included a new Tron game, a lot of 3D, the ever elusive Gran Turismo 5 as well as updates to RockBand, Guitar Hero and of course Sony's new Move motion controller.
