Samsung debuts new Shape speakers and sound bar

Samsung has released a compact version of the Shape M7 speaker and a new Soundbar for your home entertainment needs. The M5 speaker is said to be a three-driver speaker that can be used on its own or with other Shape speakers for multi-room or multi-channel surround sound. The HW-H750 Soundbar with wireless sub is capable of delivering multichannel sound of 320 watts and can be connected over Bluetooth to TVs that have Samsung’s TV Sound Connect feature through free Android or iOS app.

Samsung 2014 smart TVs to support single-finger gestures

Samsung is moving away from the gimmicks of gesture control and seems to want make it more useful for users. The Korean tech giant aims to integrate single-finger gesture support for next year’s line of smart TVs. For example, you can return to a previous screen or stop a video by motioning your finger counterclockwise. Next year’s Samsung TVs will also feature improved voice control capabilities, like just mentioning the channel number to switch channels.

Samsung to debut 105-inch Curved UHD TV

Samsung has announced that it will be introducing what they touted as the largest curved UHD TV at CES 2014. The Samsung 105-inch Curved UHD TV is designed to produce almost two times as vivid image quality from any angle. It is said to have a “Quadmatic Picture Engine” to guarantee UHD-level picture quality from any source and an 11-million pixel 5120 x 2160 screen resolution alongside a 21:9 aspect ratio. 

Microsoft reportedly negotiating $1 billion deal with Samsung to continue manufacturing Windows Phone devices

Ubergizmo reports that Microsoft is reportedly offering $1 billion to Samsung for it to resume developing Windows Phone devices. While the device manufacturer has created a lot of Android devices, there are but a handful of Windows Phone gadgets from Samsung. This rumoured deal might change that, if it pushes through.
