Google to open its own Retail Stores by end of 2013

In an inevitable move, search giant Google has indicated its desire to enter into the commercial retail store space by opening its first store in the UK last year.

A move that many see as the beginning of a series of Google Store openings in the US and Europe. A lot has changed in the past few years and Google now sells a variety of devices such as its Nexus smartphones and tablets, various Chromebook models and even the Chromebox PC and even Nexus Q audio devices. Google is also working on its smart glasses initiative. 9to5Google explains that Google will open a series of stores by the end of 2013 (it is already testing the concept in a fee UK locations called Chromezone stores).

CES 2013: Samsung ups the ante on SmartTVs in Las Vegas with quad-core processors and apps

Samsung didn't go for the jugular during their yearly CES press event earlier today. They could have announced a new killer smartphone or even a new Phablet. Instead, they noted that the Samsung Galaxy S3 was the world's best selling smartphone and then went on to talk about HDTVs, appliances, cameras and their quest to reinvent HDTV with apps and quad core processors.
