Darth Vader comes to the Sony PlayStation 4 console

If you didn't think that the Star Wars promotions are in full swing, then here's another reminder. This time, Disney partners with Sony to release a limited edition Star Wars PlayStation 4 console. The gaming console itself features a large image of Darth Vader and other Star Wars logos lining the case. It also has a customized DualShock 4 wireless controller that looks similar to the villain's chest plate. This special edition bundles comes with 500GB capacity and a few gaming goodies such as Star Wars Battlefront Deluxe Edition and digital vouchers for four other Star Wars titles (Super Star Wars, Racer Revenge, Jedi Starfighter, and Bounty Hunter). The console is coming to the U.S. on November 17. We hope it makes its way here, too.

Here’s the latest news about the ‘Star Wars’ universe

A new poster for The Force Awakens, the cast for Rogue One, the director for Episode IX, and theme park rides. It’s been a pretty busy presentation from Disney and Lucasfilm at the semi-annual D-23 fan event.

The new painted poster released for The Force Awakens shows some new information about the upcoming film. Created by Drew Struzan, who’s worked on the posters of the other Star Wars films and the Indiana Jones films, it shows us things like Finn (John Boyega) is possibly a Jedi as he wields a lightsaber. Also on the poster, you see Kylo Ren, Rey (Daisy Ridley), and Han Solo (Harrison Ford).

Behind-the-scenes reel of new 'Star Wars' film shows new details

Fresh out  of the San Diego Comic Con, we get more details or at least a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Star Wars film a.k.a. Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And we have to say we're pretty stoked with what we're seeing so far. We get soundbites from some of the fresh faces on the franchise and just see actors and crew members being generally excited to be working on a Star Wars set. We see the likes of Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford on set. Peter Mayhew inside the iconic Chewbacca costume. And yes, we see a lot of alien costumes, droids, storm troopers, TIE Fighters, and the comeback of the Millennium Falcon with a new pilot onboard.

There seems to be an emphasis on mixing pre-digital and digital effects into this film. And the J.J. Abrams-led film is stressing how they're building real sets and using pre-digital means to make this film happen.
