For anime fans out there, the galaxy far, far away is coming to your radar. Lucasfilm has just released a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Star Wars: Visions, an anthology of short anime films set in the universe. The shorts feature everything from a chibi Boba Fett, rock opera, a twin Star Destroyer, and many more.

"We really wanted to give these creators a wide creative birth to explore the Star Wars galaxy," LucasFilm executive producer James Waugh said during the Anime Expo Lite panel. 'The Book of Boba Fett' wrapped up production for Dec. 2021 debut on Disney+

Fans of Star Wars and The Mandalorian have something to look forward to before the year ends. The Book of Boba Fett, which stars Temuera Morrison (Aquaman) as the titular character, has already wrapped up production and is scheduled for a December 2021 release ahead of The Mandalorian's third season premiere.

Morrison talked to SFX Magazine about the show without giving too much away. Gizmodo shared a quote from Morrison talking about how filming was like during the pandemic. He said: "You walk on set, and you hear, 'Shields down! Shields down!' So we have to air those studios out every 20 minutes. It's called a purge, so you know you've got a toilet break then. There's a lot to shoot in one day, but with health and safety and the requirements, it filters out a lot of the bullshit, put it that way."

Grogu from 'The Mandalorian' becomes a 3D object on Google Search

Source: Google/Lucasfilm

Google continues to expand the augmented reality objects that you can find in Search. This time, it targets The Mandalorian fans. You can search for either Baby Yoda or Grogu (a.k.a. The Child's official name as revealed in the show's second season) on mobile, and it will pull up a Knowledge Panel where you can launch a 3D model of the beloved character.

Similar to other AR objects in Search, you can place Grogu in your space, and you can take pictures of the little creature looking cute in your area. He doesn't do much; he just bobs his head around and looks adorable. But we aren't complaining. This fun feature joins the recently launched The Mandalorian AR Experience for some of the newest 5G-enabled Android phones.
