Sideshow Collectibles opens pre-orders for life-size 'Baby Yoda' from 'The Mandalorian'

Yes, we know Baby Yoda is officially called The Child on Disney+'s The MandalorianBut we can't help but adopt the fitting nickname for the adorable womp rat. And now, you can have the precious green baby in life-size form courtesy of Sideshow CollectiblesThe figure itself stands on a black podium and seen clutching the silver knob from Mando's ship in its right hand. It measures 16.5-inch tall and seems to have gotten The Child's likeness down to the fuzzy hair on its scalp.

It's going to cost a pretty penny, though. The figure costs US$350 (around CA$462), and it'll ship between May and October of this year. If you're a collector, you might think the price is worth it.

'The Mandalorian' will come back for Season 2 on Disney+ in fall 2020

Disney

With the first season wrapped up after the December 27 finale, The Mandalorian will be coming back for a second season in the fall of 2020. The Star Wars show's creator Jon Favreau confirmed on Twitter that it would be back on Disney+. He didn't specify a date, though. But we will be waiting for future announcements.

Taking place five years after The Return of the Jedi, The Mandalorian follows a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter as he tries to protect The Child, a younger "Baby Yoda" (as the world has dubbed it), from the galaxy's villains. The show stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, and Taika Waititi.

Baby Yoda comes to 'The Sims 4'

Even The Sims 4 can't escape the famous and adorable Baby Yoda, or The Child as he is known on the Disney+ show, The Mandalorian. And it isn't even a mod. The little creature comes with the latest update of the game. Maxis seems to have kept this a surprise as it doesn't appear in the newest patch notes.

The Child appears as a sculpture in the game, and it can be found in the Build/Buy mode under "Sculptures." Or you can just type Baby Yoda in the search function. He's named "The Child Statue" in The Sims 4 with a description, "This statue is a lovable replica inspired by the Disney+ live-action series, The Mandalorian." Now, if we can only get him as an actual baby to adopt in the game, then that would be perfect.
