Periscope will be coming to Android

Twitter recently launched Periscope on iOS. And people have been asking the company if they had any plans on bringing it to Android. Well, according to a blog post from the development team, that is happening. When this will happen isn't certain yet. But they are working on it.

If you don't know what Periscope is, it's an app that lets you broadcast live video streams from your mobile devices. People can also watch what you're streaming right from their mobile gadgets. Periscope allows users to send messages and chat while a live stream is ongoing. Twitter launched Periscope to compete with Meerkat, an app with a similar function that was gaining traction on Twitter's platform.

Share relevant content to your Twitter followers with Juice for iOS

Want to be a better Twitter user and share information your followers would appreciate? The new Juice app wants to help you out there. The iOS app is free and currently in beta. It makes use of the curation service Paper.li to study the interests of your followers and share with you on a daily basis relevant topics that they might enjoy reading. Of course, you can check out the content first on your own.

You can swipe down to see how viral a post is and who else in your network shared it. You can swipe up to read the article. And swipe left or right to go through the articles of the day. You can have the app notify you if it has articles ready for you to peruse through. Juice adds images to the tweets, so it brings in a visual aspect to your tweets as well. At the moment though, you can’t schedule tweets yet.

H&R Block to host Twitter Party tomorrow at 1pm EST

Have some pressing Tax Season questions or queries? Curious about H&R Block's free filing solution? Join H&R Block on Twitter tommorrow, Thursday, March 26th at 1pm EST for the H&R Block #FileFreeOnline Twitter Party.

After more than 50 years of helping Canadians file their taxes, H&R Block, Canada’s trusted leader in tax preparation, is introducing H&R Block Online Tax Software, the completely free (absolutely no hidden costs) online tax filing solution. Check out our overview here. Hit jump for our a more detailed look at what the free filing solution has to offer.

Using H&R Block Online

After having used various tax filing apps, I found using H&R Block's web-based software to be easy and intuitive. Designed for Canadians, one can choose between English and French applications, the program even lets you know what you should prepare beforehand as well as gives you the option to import last year's information from your TurboTax or UFile program which is very convenient for users of these paid services.

Most importantly, I found the visually intuitive  step-by-step instructions easy to follow and whatever early reservations I had about filing my own taxes online or through software, were slowly but surely put to rest. Best of all, I was able to file my taxes accurately using only my PC's browser without needing to install any software or plugins.

Interested in checking out H&R Block's web-based software, check it out here.

Twitter begins testing of autoplay videos, ads included

Twitter has finally begun testing autoplay videos in user timelines. But they’re reportedly working on a small percentage of the user base at the moment. Except for Vine videos, all videos will start autoplaying, including video ads. Facebook began autoplaying videos about a year and a half ago and that boosted video uploads and consumption on the social network. It looks like Twitter is hoping to replicate that. There’s no word yet when the widespread rollout will happen. Watch your timeline though. You should be seeing more animated tweets soon.
