New XBox 360 Dashboard gets spiced up with Metro Interface

 

Microsoft looks to be unifying the look, feel and user experience across its Windows Phone, Windows 8 and now XBox 360 Dashboard with the Metro look. Originating from the Zune music player, Metro's live tiles and slick design functionality seems to be ideal for touch control or, in the case of XBox, for Kinect control. The new dashboard is expected to come via update on December 6.

Review: Kinect Sports on XBox 360

One of the key selling points of Microsoft's Kinect controller is that it offers a true exercise benefit that, provided you put in the time and effort, will get your heart racing and have you working up a decent sweat in no time. Kinect Sports is a launch title that's focused on the competitive aspect of such games as bowling boxing, table tennis, track and field and beach volleyball and puts the Kinect controller as well as players to the test.

Review: Kinect Adventures on Xbox 360

It is easy to dismiss the free game that comes with the Kinect sensor as one of the weaker offerings for the new controller but Kinect Adventures doesn't just provide an easy introduction to the Kinect for xBox, it is also one of the most engaging and entertaining titles for the new device.
